Self management
At PhysioWakefield, we are advocates of supported self-management for common Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions.
Common conditions can include back pain, osteoarthritis of the knee and hip, shoulder pain and neck pain. Some symptoms associated with these can be alleviated by following a targeted exercise programme.
Many conditions, such as back pain or joint stiffness, can improve with simple self-care strategies like modifying activities, staying active and performing targeted exercises.
If your symptoms persist despite trying these approaches, you can self-refer to our expert MSK physiotherapy service where we can provide you with the next steps of personalised care.
Our team will assess your needs and create a individualised management plan to support your recovery and long term wellbeing.
